A Disney Collector's Dream! This listing is for a rare, and highly sought after 2005 Boyer Disney Dollar. It was released at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA on July 17, 2005. I stood in line for nearly 7 hours to obtain it on the 50th anniversary of the park. This note is serial number B00000618. These dollars were designed by Charles Boyer and were only issued for one day to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Disneyland.
The pictures in this listing shows a scan of the actual bill you will receive. As you can see it is in pristine condition with no folds, creases or blemishes. The bill has been carefully stored in its souvenir envelope since its purchase in a safe in a smoke-free, pet-free environment.
The face of the bill shows a present day version of Mickey Mouse looking at his image from fifty years prior in an oval mirror. The bill is decorated with confetti graphics and the hologram security marks are also designed to look like sprinkles of confetti. The border has two black and white outlines of Tinker Bell on the front and color Tinker Bell on the back. The front features "The Happiest Celebration on Earth" Castle logo,  "May be redeemed only at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort and the Disney Store (USA & Puerto Rico)" and "Disney Dollars may be spent or collected and saved as souvenirs and are redeemable at any time before or after any period of inactivity." The reverse of the bill shows the Disneyland Castle decorated with jewels for the 50th Anniversary.
The dollar will come in its original 50th anniversary souvenir envelope, also shown in the photos.
Disney Dollars were printed by the U.S. Bank Note Company. The paper is 100% cotton, which gives the notes the look and feel of real money.
