    Description

    Ethiopia either KM#37 or K#37a, fifty cents face (1943-44 or 1947) silver coin (24 mm diameter) (see scans). Coin grades abt. uncirculated as with no evidence of wear but with
    spotted surfaces; degree of wear should be visible in the scans. The only way to discern whether the coin is KM#37, or the later struck KM#37a (1947 minting), is by checking weight and fineness/amt. of silver. KM#37 has 0.1808 oz of 0.8000 silver; whereas, KM#37a has 0.1582 oz of 0.7000 silver.
